Short description

MergeMate mixes chess tactics with merge-puzzle progression on a compact 6×6 board. Merge matching pieces, capture enemies to refill your reserve, deploy reserves onto your home rows, and find the checkmate. It has 100 hand-built levels, solver-verified mate-in-two puzzles, a daily puzzle and real-time friend duels with a four-character room code. MergeMate is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases in version 1.3.

Key features

• Merge chain: two pawns make a knight, two knights a rook, two rooks a queen. Eight pawns can become a queen.
• Captures refund a smaller piece to your reserve; reserves can be deployed onto your two home rows.
• Every campaign level is won by checkmate. Stalemate is a draw, and the game warns before a stalemating move.
• Ten mate-in-two puzzles in the campaign plus a new daily puzzle, each with a single merge as the key move.
• Three stars per level: victory, original army and a tactical objective. Hints and undos never cost stars.
